We are building 2 teams per age group: a travel team and a developmental team. To ensure the players are slotted on the right team, we will host a skills clinic, track Combine metrics and play a short scrimmage.

We will record and share the combine metrics of all the participants, so you can see for yourself where your child ranks within and across age groups (i.e. metrics = pitch velo, exit velo, run speed times and more).

There will also be a snack shack set up with food and refreshments.

What: 2 ½ hour session: Skills Clinic, Combine & Scrimmage

Combine skills being measured include: 
– Hitting (exit velo)
– Pitching (pitch velo of various pitches)
– Catchers pop time 
– Sprint times
– Broad jump distance

Note: These skills reflect the types of metrics used by college recruiters as they assess player development. Each player will receive their own individual results and the average scores for each age group (via email provided during registration) so they know how their development in each skill stacks up compared to age group averages. Oakland Baseball will NOT share your players' individual results publicly (unless granted prior parental approval).

Times for Rising Travel Age Group (calculated as the age they will be by April 30, 2026):
– Age 12s & 13s: 4:00-6:30pm
– Age 14s & 15s: 5:30-8:00pm
