Co-Founder – Ofer Sabadosh
I'm a proud Oakland resident and father of two baseball-loving boys. After spending years on local fields—many of them in rough shape—I co-founded Oakland Baseball and the Oakland Baseball Foundation because I believe every kid deserves a chance to play, grow, and thrive through baseball and softball.
Like so many parents, I’ve seen the barriers up close: broken-down fields, high costs, and limited access. I knew the problem wasn’t talent—Oakland has plenty of that. The problem was opportunity. And after watching our city lose its professional teams, I felt a responsibility to help keep the game alive for the next generation.
At the Foundation, we're working to restore fields, lower financial barriers, and provide affordable, high-quality baseball and softball experiences for every child—no matter their background. I believe safe, well-maintained fields and community support can change lives.
Oakland’s diamonds still shine with potential. Let’s make sure our kids have the chance to shine too.

I’ve been dedicated to making baseball enjoyable to anyone who wants to play. Since 2019, I’ve coached with NOLL/SOLL. After that first year, I started a small group called Home Plate Fun to work with kids in the offseason, especially those who loved the game but needed extra help building their fundamentals. And I most recently stepped in as the head coach at Edna Brewer Middle School after learning the school no longer had a team.
Last year I joined the NOLL/SOLL board as the Coaching Development Coordinator to help support and guide the next generation of coaches through a positive, player-first approach. My goal is simple: for kids to love baseball. The more young players we can get on the field, the more joy and talent will grow from that. I’m proud to support this mission and will continue doing everything I can to help it thrive.
